Welcome

This is my playground for poetry written for children with ideas and inspiration for writing your own poems. Come on in. Sit for a spell, have a cup of words to swirl around and make your own cup of poetry. I'm so glad you are here. I hope you'll find the Kingdom of Poetry a fun place to be.

Fingers and Toes

Can you count your fingers?
1 ,2, 3, 4, 5,
6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
And your toes,
can you count again?
1 ,2, 3, 4, 5,
6, 7, 8, 9 and 10.
Wiggle them,
stretch,
flex,
bend.
They are called appendages,
wonderful fingers and toes.
Now can you sniff them
using your nose?

     As you can tell, I'm in a silly mood again.  Can you write your own silly poem today about something to sniff?
